Welcome to Mayfaire! Your local renaissance & high fantasy village bazaar. Shop at one of Mayfaire's 60+ curated merchants, or bring something to trade at the pirate trading post. Taste classic Ren Faire cuisine or indulge in something new. Experience bards & minstrels, entertainers, live combat, and animal tamers! Learn about Medieval culture with one of our many art & science demonstrators.

What is a Renaissance Market?
A Renaissance Market is a place where history enthusiasts and fantasy lovers get together to shop, explore, and play. Renaissance events are known for their costumed attendees, Medieval-themed food & music, and fantasy elements (think Game of Thrones or Lord of the Rings!).
Mayfaire is a one-stop-shop for all your Medieval, Historical, and Fantasy needs! You'll find clothing & armor, décor (for your castle, of course), gifts, food, and much more. While you're here, don't just shop - there are plenty of ways to play, too! Expect to meet plenty of like-minded folks along the way. If this is your first time attending a Renaissance-themed event, you are sure to find something new and exciting to love at every turn.
First time going to a Renaissance Event?
If this is your first time attending a Renaissance themed event or faire, you've come to the right place! The only thing you're required to bring is your imagination. Immersion is the name of the game, and a great way to get immersed in the Faire experience is to come dressed for the occasion...
Attendees usually dress in costume for these events. If you'd like to get the most out of your experience (and make it awesome for everyone else), you can wear a costume, or even simply include some Renaissance elements into your every day outfit. The following link is a guide on how to dress for this event, if you so desire. (Please be aware of some rules and policies for costumes. You will find those at the bottom of this webpage.)

What if there is bad weather?
This is a rain or shine event, so prepare accordingly!
Can I bring my pet or service animal?
Yes. Quakertown Park animal policy is as follows: Denton County has a Leash Law which means an animal must be restrained, if it is not on property belonging to the animal's owner. The City also has a "pooper scooper law" so, please be sure to clean up after your dog. Owners of service animals should abide by Texas law and Denton City ordinance regarding animals in public spaces. Your service animal is welcome. Please keep all service animals on a leash or in a carrier. Excessive barking or aggression (or other disturbing behavior) is grounds for event staff to ask you to remove your service animal from the premises, or to ask you to leave the premises. Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.
Will there be alcohol?
No alcohol will be served at this event, nor is alcohol allowed to be sold at this event. However, The Bearded Monk is located just across McKinney Street; according to their website: "The Bearded Monk is Denton’s first, craft beer only, bottle shop and growler fill bar. Located on McKinney St, at the north side of Downtown Denton’s Craft Beer District, The Bearded Monk is the place to have a beer or two while shopping for that perfect craft beer for your party or picnic."
What is considered proper attire?
Dress for a family friendly environment and please keep comfort and weather in mind. Appropriately themed costume is greatly encouraged. Don't have the right costume? Renaissance themed clothing will be available to purchase at the event as well. Mayfaire may refuse entry to anyone dressed in a manner that may be considered by Event Coordinators to be offensive (Such as attire that is excessively revealing or transparent fabrics or has offensive symbols or imagery). Sharp or unsheathed weapons are not permitted. Real blades or compound bows are not permitted. Let's make safety a priority! Thank you for your understanding.
Photography/Videography Policy:
You may be recorded or photographed at this event. Photographers and videographers will ask permission when able. The captured images may be used on our social media pages or in future promotional materials. By entering this event you are consenting to being photographed and recorded.
